ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Headquartered in East Alton, IL, Olin Brass is one of the world's best basic materials companies and a leading North American producer of copper alloys. We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer at our East Alton, IL facility.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSBILITIES (not all inclusive)
Responsible for the complete design of electrical systems for upgrades to existing equipment and new process lines.
Responsible for the system concept, drawing development, equipment specification, system control concepts and flow diagrams.
All required programming, installation design, start-up, and final documentation.
Project supervision for electrical portion of systems purchased from outside mechanical and/or electrical equipment suppliers.
On a day-to-day basis include technical support of maintenance in troubleshooting process line breakdowns.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (not all inclusive)
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of four years experience in system design, programming, and startup of industrial process line control equipment.
Experience should include but not be limited to programming and implementation of Programmable Logic Controllers, AC/DC motor drives, Human Machine Interface, and industrial component networking.
Experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens S7 PLC, Siemens and Rockwell AC/DC drives, and/or Wonderware HMI software is a plus.
Experience in metal processing line applications is beneficial.
AutoCAD experience is preferred.
