The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is a bi-state public agency responsible for promoting transportation and commerce, operating some of the busiest and most important transportation links in the region including bridges, tunnels, bus terminals, airports, PATH, AirTrain systems, the NY/NJ seaport, and the WTC site.



We are currently seeking a College Recruitment Specialist to expand, implement and coordinate the Port Authority of NY & NJ’s college recruitment program to recruit, develop and retain talent for entry-level management positions in various disciplines including Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Audit, and Accounting. The selected candidate will also centrally coordinate the administration of the agency’s multi-disciplined Management Associate Program (MAP) for graduate level students over the course of the two-year development program.



Responsibilities:
· Create and execute a college recruitment strategy.

· Develop overall college recruitment objectives including the recruitment of graduate students to participate in the agency’s MAP.

· Coordinate recruiting activities including attendance at college recruiting events

· Maintain, develop and expand the agency’s image on the college campus.

· Serve as a point of contact for students and colleges/universities.

· Mentor the Management Associate Program participants on developmental activities and agency orientation.

· Partner with agency executive staff to develop meaningful growth assignments for MAP participants.

· Oversee/ participate in interviews and final assessment processes.

· Coordinate new hire orientation and new-hire integration activities.


Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of four years of recruiting experience of which at least two years include college/campus recruiting experience.

· Superior skills in attracting/retaining talent, building relationships, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrated experience in recruiting, sourcing methods and selection interviewing.

· Ability to use metrics to evaluate progress toward program goals.

· Knowledgeable in current business practices, trends, policies and technology.

· Willingness to travel during the fall and spring recruiting seasons.

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well in a fast-paced team environment.

· Demonstrated experience in developing strong relationships with college career services centers.

· Ability to promote and professionally represent the Port Authority of NY & NJ on campus.
