Job Description 
                Job Family Responsibilities:
               
                For assigned complex and high volume commodities                  Guides the functions of international                 market analysis, internal Siemens demand                 analysis, global demand pooling, supplier                 selection, negotiation of price, terms and                 conditions, to maximize contribution to operating                 profit and business objectives. Completes very                 complex supplier analysis in order to acquire the                 best suppliers and to guarantee an optimum supply                 chain; completes the annual supplier evaluation                 process and executes formal supplier development                 plans. Initiates contact with very complex                 internal/external interface partners to recognize                 developments and exert influence accordingly.                  Develops reports of very complex                 information and figures to make results                 transparent and controls purchasing activities on                 a results-oriented basis.  Guides the                 development, communication and deployment of                 complex procurement strategies.
               
                Key Responsibilities:
               
                Performs advanced areas of work for the                 professional field. Applies advanced skills to                 resolve complex problems not covered by existing                 procedures or practices independently. Displays a                 high level of critical thinking in bringing                 successful resolution to high-impact, complex,                 and/or cross-functional problems.
               
                Education:
               
                BS/BA in Business Administration or Supply Chain                 Management.  APICS certification is a plus.
               
                Knowledge and Experience:
               
                5 - 7 years of procurement and commodity                 management experience.  Extensive knowledge                 and experience in developing strategy, supplier                 contract negotiations and resource management.                 Capital purchasing experience is a plus.                  SAP experience is a plus.  Candidates                 must have the ability to be tactful and have                 exceptional communication skills.
