Job Description Coordinates and negotiates corporate supplier contracts as well as consulting agreements for assigned commodities indirect spend areas. Investigates potential supplies so as to ensure the most cost effective sources are being transacted.Remains current on economic, industrial and other trends that affect market and prices.Qualifies vendors and continuously reviews suppliers’ performance, including delivery, quality and service.Coordinates with the different Corporate Departments and Field Procurement Organization regarding material field strategies and preferred suppliers lists.Responsible for supplier management (according to Siemens tools & guidelines), data management in SAP, Purchase Price performance and material field/supplier strategy for assigned commodity group.Candidates must have the ability to work in collaboration with different Corporate Departments and Field personnel; and to interact with Siemens US Procurement Network as well as SBT Global Procurement Commodity Management.Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years (Senior: 5-10 years) Purchasing experience preferably. using SAPCPM Certificate, preferred Ability to evaluate procurement marketplace for assigned commoditiesUnderstanding of assigned commoditiesGood knowledge of contract law and drafting of supplier contract and agreementsGood negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skillsKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office tools & SAP
