Description
The incumbent will be required to perform applied research and development in the area of FCC catalysts and/or additives. In conjunction with other scientists the candidate will be expected to assist in the development of research ideas into commercial products. Close collaboration with process development group and manufacturing is expected to be a critical part of the job. Candidate will be required to direct the activities and provide mentoring to 1-2 technicians and other junior level scientists.
Qualifications
MS degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Inorganic Chemistry with 2 years related experience or a BS degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Inorganic Chemistry with 3-5 years related experience. BASF recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Experience in the area of clays or clay chemistry is a preferred. Must have the ability to write reports, effectively communicate results and drive program direction.
