Working Title: Procurement Manager
PAY RANGE: $47,286-$77,685/annually CLOSES: 10/12/07
The County of Volusia is currently seeking a Contract Manager. Located in DeLand, Florida, this position will be responsible for the preparation, execution and administration of solicitations and contract documents for architectural and engineering services, construction, and construction related services, and will supervise a professional and support staff procurement team. The County is bordered by the St. Johns River on the west (with excellent boating and fishing opportunities) and beautiful Atlantic beaches on the east and it is easily accessible to Daytona Beach and the Orlando metropolitan areas. Volusia County has a number of public and private colleges and universities (including Stetson, Embry Riddle and Bethune Cookman), an excellent public school system and outstanding state and local parks. Volusia County offers a very competitive and comprehensive benefits package for its employees. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, Procurement or Accounting, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental or private procurement. A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Must possess current certification as Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or related certification and/or be able to attain certification or re-certification within one year of employment date.
