PROCUREMENT – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Procurement -Professional Services will be based in Washington, DC.
Lead cross functional teams which decide on a procurement strategy; develop and issue RFPs; evaluate responses using objective criteria; negotiate terms of purchase; make award decisions or recommendations jointly with cross functional team; monitor vendor performance according to agreed upon objective criteria; foster vendor partnerships for strategic purchases.
Work with business units to identify and prioritize procurement needs. Analyze product/service spend data across all business units. Identify sourcing opportunities not evident within a business unit. Identify relevant organizations to participate in cross-functional procurement teams.
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline is required. Master of Business Administration is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have 7+ years procurement/sourcing experience. Ideally, candidates will have 10+ years of experience.
Will have a minimum of 5 years in the procurement of professional services. Commodity and/or IT procurement experience can be helpful, but there must be a strong background in professional services outside of these areas.
Come to the office to work. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic and demands someone who does what it takes to get the job done. Be well organized and goal-oriented.
