Asst VP Procurement
Assistant Vice President "Strategic Procurement Partner"
The University at Buffalo, a comprehensive, research-intensive public university dedicated to academic excellence, seeks a dynamic individual responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior leaders to develop procurement solutions to meet their business objectives while providing leadership to the Procurement Services staff. This individual should be an exceptional communicator, have great interpersonal skills and the initiative to engage with a number of different university initiatives. Will identify and coordinate long range planning to include initiating and managing various committees whose purpose is to define and implement more efficient methodologies and provide direction for the increase in strategic sourcing and other related projects.
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. A minimum of five to ten years of experience in a purchasing services operation, preferably in a diversified higher educational institution in a complex university system with evidence of progressive management responsibility.
