Financial Accounting ManagerPosition Description• Plan, direct, and provide necessary management of the Company's financial accounting process to the preparation of financial reporting packages for internal and external users.• Ensures the Company's financial reporting is consistent with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.• This position reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting, Taxation, and Risk Services.• Provides research, judgment, and counsel on application of standards to existing and potential Company transactions.• Liaison with Company's public accountants and parent company personnel on reporting issues as well as internal inquiries on contemplated transactions. • Perform and maintain controls adequately to comply with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and other sections relating to financial reporting and disclosure controls. • Responsible for compliance with control procedures and updates of control documentation. • Provide as-needed support to Company teams involved in due diligence, contract development, and affiliate and joint venture management, with respect to financial reporting issues. • Take lead role in key critical accounting applications, e.g., accounting for income taxes, hedge accounting, post-retirement benefit accounting, LIFO. • Prepare data and projections for Company forecasts, operating budgets, and business plans.Position Requirements• Master Degree in Accounting, preferred.
