Buyers - Frozen and Refrigerated Goods
One of the nation’s leading restaurant companies located in Colorado is currently seeking dynamic Buyers to join its team.
The Buyers are responsible for the purchasing of all materials and supplies, and will work under the guidance of the Sr. Purchasing Manager to ensure that purchasing decisions align with the overall goals of the organization. Will source new items, obtain competitive bids, and evaluate bids and make cost comparisons. Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and updating reorder points to ensure consistent flow of items, and coordinating shipments to meet company and department deadlines. Will participate in planning meetings and maintain vendor communication.
Bachelor's degree in Purchasing or a related discipline preferred; equivalent training and experience will be considered. Must have 7 plus years of related experience, coupled with distribution experience, and be able to make value added purchasing decisions quickly. Working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Basix), communication skills, and the ability to establish working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of people are necessary.
