Increase Category sales by analyzing product trends and historical data, including sales, margin and inventory utilization.
Select productive merchandise assortments that fit customer needs and search requests
Drive increased category sales through assortment and promotion, and regularly monitor assortment productivity
Create promotions and theme ideas to support marketing vehicles including online search, email campaigns, and print catalogs
Participate in developing newsletter and catalog assortments and content
Negotiate vendor terms and maintain relationships
Responsible for obtaining new product details for new item set-up
Collaborate with inventory management, production and marketing teams to manage site merchandising (promotions, special collections, department landing pages, etc.)
Generate weekly and monthly sales updates
Achieve quarterly financial targets (sales and margin)
Special projects as assigned

Minimum 5 years retail buying experience, preferably within the housewares category
Bachelors degree a plus
