Payroll Representative
The New York Power Authority (NYPA), America’s largest state-owned, public power enterprise, has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Representative to work in our White Plains, NY office.
In this position, you will review and process changes to employee master control files; set up third-party deductions, including garnishments and tax levies; monitor input into TESS system to maintain accuracy and perform controls; reconcile payroll register against original source data; process replacement checks and voided checks to ensure accuracy of payroll totals’ produce and distribute payroll reports; and verify accuracy of employee data by reconciling Ceridian downloads in Access.
Candidates must possess 1-3 years of payroll-processing experience along with a basic knowledge of current payroll compliance procedures and laws. Proficiency in MS Excel and Access is required. Excellent detail orientation, analytical, planning, leadership, collaboration, decision-making, verbal and written communication skills are essential. You must be able to work independently with supervision.
