JOB DESCRIPTION:
Senior Investigator

Description

Perform e-Discovery services in support of the Legal teams, both internal and external. Must be able to liaise with Legal staff efficiently and effectively, and participate in matter hearings.

Provide 30(b)(6) deposition testimony, and be able to testify as to the efficacy of their work product.

Perform computer and network forensic examinations and investigations in support of internal investigations and intrusion incidents. Conducts examinations of all digital media including, but not limited to, computers, cameras, cell phones, pdas, flash or thumb drives, networking devices and other digital media.

Create and maintain forensic processes and procedures based on industry best practices. Develop and maintain the necessary documentation to support the forensic and investigative processes and procedures.

Uses experience and knowledge of a wide variety of advanced computer technologies and theories to conduct investigations, collection of, and analysis of digital evidence.

Install and maintain forensic infrastructure, both hardware and software.

Follows Investigative Plan and methodology to perform the investigation and analysis

Research and develop evidence collection, protection, and analysis techniques for company owned and maintained hardware and software.

Coordinate with internal support organizations in the development of additional evidence collection methods, technologies, and processes that support the need to detect and respond to unauthorized or unintentional activities.

Conduct analysis/retrieval services (generally in the lab, although some activities/cases will require this to occur on-site for an extended period of time) for seized electronic media.

Excel in communicating with internal customers in a professional manner while explaining technical information in easy to understand terms, and in helping them solve problems in a straightforward and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

1.Responsible for following the processes and procedures used in digital evidence collection and examination.

2.Responsible for accurate and timely completion of cases assigned.

3.Responsible for providing leadership and consultation to less experienced team members

4.Receives, inventories, signs for and retains duplicate image of physical evidence submitted for examination.

5.Responsible for recovering deleted, erased, hidden and encrypted data for cases and business continuity.

6.Testify in criminal and civil court, administrative boards, and/or provide depositions when and where required on seizure and handling of evidence, and results of analysis / investigation conducted.

Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline; Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Certification required in some areas

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications

Education Desired : Bachelor

Required proficiency in a corporate environment with the enterprise version of either AccessData or Guidance software.

Desired proficiency with LAW, Summation iBlaze and WebBlaze, AccessData Forensic Toolkit (FTK), VBscript, and SQL.

Years of Experience Required: 5 Years

Expected Travel Time: 0-10%
