The IT&S Function is currently undertaking a significant transformation of its applications support and development landscape. The transformation will be enabled by a) The consolidation of a significant part of the existing applications portfolio into an IT&S Function level market engagement the first phase of which will be completed by 2Q09 and b) the establishment of Segment level IT&S sourcing strategies. Key aspects of the role include:-• Engaging internal stakeholders within mainly the E&P and R&M IT&S teams. in order to understand business objectives and desired market related outcomes• Understanding options and risks associated with procurement/supply chain activities• Leading procurement projects including the negotiation of contracts & commercial terms consistent with maximising business value for IT&S• Building and managing supplier relationships • Measuring / reporting the value delivered.
Qualifications :-• University Degree • MCIPS or equivalent• At least 3 years experience in Procurement in a blue chip environment• Experience of working cross culturally• At least 2 years experience working in relevant market sector.
